MU's win today, coupled with USF's upset of Georgetown this evening, puts MU in a 3-way tie for 4th place in the Big East conference.
Marquette, Georgetown and Pittsburgh all finish with 10-6 records. But with it's victory over Georgetown and split over the Panthers, MU holds the tiebreaker.
Much more to follow this week leading up to the Big East Tournament. . . .

YES YES YES!!!!! listened live on sports talk 980 out of DC, SF hit enough free throws at the end, Gtown wasted lots of chances.
I am sixteen and a huge Marquette fan and I am not just saying this because we are about to get a bye, go to the tournemnt, and its senior day, but man our we gona miss steve. He is the best shooter I will ever see and if you have watched him closely for four years it hard to argue. Go get em in March buddy and in the NBA.
I am sixteen and a huge Marquette fan and looking on this senior day I caught myself thinking man are we gonna miss steve next year. I am not just saying this because we got a bye int the Big E. tourney, were going to the tourney, and its senior day, but Steve Novak is without a doubt the greatest shooter I will ever see and if you have watched him for four years like I have its hard to argue. Go get em in March stevie and in the NBA.
