Per this report on ESPN, Tom Crean turned down the Arkansas job.
We see this every off-season, Crean's name is mentioned but quietly he either declines to pursue opportunities or turns them down flat.
The track record speaks volumes.

Actually, what we see every off-season is our coach including his name in the discussion of every job opening.
We see him exploring these jobs and getting turned down because they aren't willing to give in to demands that every school but Marquette deems outrageous -- including members is cushy, well-paying jobs.
Was this job offered to Crean without him being interviewed? OR did he speak with the Razorbacks? And if Katz is correct about this, how is it that so many think he was wrong that our coach was interested in Illinois, Ohio St. and Virginia? How did Katz even know Crean was offered? Certainly Arkansas is not floating the names of people turning them down!
There's a fox in the hen house!
"And if Katz is correct about this, how is it that so many think he was wrong that our coach was interested in Illinois, Ohio St. and Virginia?"
Nobody has ever claimed that TC was not 'interested' in other jobs....the point is, he is still the MU coach despite the rumors and any perceived or real interested between any involved parties.
Andy never reported on TC to UVa btw -- he did with Illinois and OSU.
Regardless if Katz has a full deck or not, I find Crean's approach to rumors that he is being recruited detrimental to the program-- particularly his recruiting where he is certainly not the salesman some think he is. It almost seems like he needs an ego boost every off season(after the NCAA).
Lets be realistic - we already have all our scholarships filled up for next year (we are actually over by one until someone transfers) so any rumors about Crean leaving do not hurt recruiting. All of this will be worked out well before any signing period for any potential new Warriors. If anything, it could open some doors for kids looking for a 'better program' and then Crean can sell them on the MU experience.
