Over the summer, Cracked Sidewalks thought about adding a new member to the writing team, and a few names came up but no decision was made. We wondered if we even needed more articles.
Until last week.
A forum regular wrote a few blog posts that made our mouths water. His statistical missives are important and should have a large stage. It was an easy decision to ask him to join the team.
After heavy negotiations, teaching him the CS gang sign, and an intensive 3 minute training course, he's on-board.
Marquette fans, meet Mr. Henry Sugar. Read his first post, "MU vs. UW - Looking at the Numbers" below.
Top 100 Marquette Players of All-Time
ReplyDeleteThe following are my ratings of the top 100 Marquette players of all time. For each player I list Rank (what place they are in the Top 100), name, seasons played at Marquette, and then three ratings from 0 to 15 based on; 1st, how good their stats were at Marquette (points, rebounds, blocked shots, assists, steals), 2nd, the impact on the program (how far they took their team, or occasionally a few points for a wildcard like William Gates contribution of the movie Hoop Dreams, or Raymond Eckstein contributing $51 million), and finally, 3rd, their professional career (how well they did in the NBA or if they were at least drafted or played in Europe or the CBA). The final number is the addition of the first three figures for an overall rating of 0 to 45. If you want the paragraph I wrote on each player explaining my ranking, email me at jpudner@concentricgrasstops.com. – John Pudner, Jour’ 87, phone - 334.590.8371.
