RE: "Is this a shot at Crean?" Certainly could be. The other part of the Matthews interview I found interesting was when he mentioned how Buzz has them "just playing." Part of me wonders if Crean's Tae Kwon D'oh and other non-basketball-related drills might have done more to hold back the kids' basketball skills (eg running a break, finishing around the rim, etc.) Any time spent running into tackling dummies is time taken away from the fundamentals.
