It's a good week to be Jerel McNeal.
First, he carries the team on his back to beat the Badgers, with 26 points, 7 rebounds in 39 (T-h-i-r-t-y N-i-n-e) minutes.
Then, he racks up Big East Player of the Week, for the second time in his career.
But that's "just" the Big East.
Today, Rivals.com came out with their "Power Rankings" and ranked McNeal the #1 SG in the country.
Wes came in at #17, and DJ got the #15 best PG, Lazar #15 best Small Forward.
But wait, there's more love. Jeff Goodman at FoxSports ranks Jerel as the #8 player in the entire country in a photo essay posted today.

Congrats to Jerel.
Can we get him to stop shooting those ridiculous long-range jumpers now?
If only Wesley actually played shooting guard and Lazar actually played small forward...
Nevertheless, those are great and in my opinion deserving rankings.
Great stuff for McNeal...but I sort of agree with Sugar. He and the team are at their best when "Rel" gets, as Coach Buzz put it, "paint touches."
The output on this blog has been pretty slow the last few weeks...
Where is everyone?
